Welcome .
esidenza i due Mondi is a very long standing residence, dating back to the late 500’s, recently renovated, and adjacent to the Teatro Romano and therefore deep within the historical centre of Spoleto, and it hosts three spacious apartments.
It has a strategic position, which permits easy access into the centre and so allows one to explore and enjoy its beauty: within a short distance one finds the elegant “Corso Mazzini” full of craft shops and art galleries, the historical “Piazza del Mercato” , (Market Square) (site of the ancient Roman Forum), “L’arco di Druso” (Druso’s Arch), “La Casa Romana” (The Roman House), and the XI th century Cathedral of S.Maria Assunta.
Within easy walking distance of only a few minutes, one can visit the highest point of the city, and enjoy a trip around the suggestive “Giro della Rocca” surrounding the fortress, and from where it is possible to admire the ancient Roman aqueduct and also the magnificent view of the Spoleto valley. City buses and the city council’s recent introduction of eight mechanized routes (Comprising escalators and underground lifts), two of which are only a couple of minutes from the apartment, now make it easy to reach those parts of the city which were previously only accessible by car, thus enabling visitors to explore lanes, alleys and squares comfortably on foot. For those who prefer to drive, however, there is a large multi-story car park near the apartment. Spoleto, city of art and rich in history, offers much to its visitors, and also occupies a strategic position for visiting the rest of Umbria, one of the most beautiful regions of Italy. In fact, within a short distance are: Assisi, Orvieto, Todi, Cascia, Norcia, Perugia, and many more splendid ancient towns and villages. There are also other beautiful palces to visit such as: “Parco Naturale dei Monti Sibillini” (The Nature Park of Mt.Sibillini), Le Grotte di Frasassi (The Grottoes of Frasassi), Le Cascate delle Marmore (The Marmore Falls), le Fonti del Clitunno (The springs of Clitunno). There is so much to see and do in and around Spoleto!
